22nd Annual Urban Fruit Tree Program

The Urban Farm is excited to announce the launch of the 22nd annual Urban Farm Fruit Tree Education Program on September 11. Greg Peterson, founder of The Urban Farm has been growing fruit trees for over 40 years in the Valley of the Sun and offers education on the best techniques for successfully growing fruit trees in the desert. The Urban Farm Fruit Tree education program provides a support system for beginning backyard farmers and fruit growers. Five classes will be offered online on rotation starting in September and going through November. The classes are: What to Know Before You Buy; Keys to Success, What to Know After you Buy; Extreme Tree Care: Planting, Watering and Fertilizing; What Supplies do I need for my Trees?; Greg’s Favorite Fruit Trees for Phoenix, Which One Could be Mine?\ \ The Urban Farm offers a wide selection of deciduous trees including: apples, peaches, apricots, plums, figs, grapes and berries and citrus trees -lemons, limes, oranges, etc. Trees are available for pre-order and will be ready for pickup in mid-October.\
